- Prune roses at the end of this month.
- Make a note of how the sun is moving and make sure that your containers filled with winter flowers are getting at least five to six hours of sun a day.
- If any of your perennials were plagued by Australian mealie bug, get rid of the diseased growth by cutting back the plants. Spray with a solution of Ludwig’s Insect Spray at four times the strength to get rid of remaining bugs.
- If it looks as if your winter flowering annuals need a boost, water them with Margaret Roberts Supercharger.
